Version 0.1.2

The Falcon Alpha 0.1.2 release is all about helping you stay in flow from the moment you open your project:

Code Preview

  • You can now click any element in the preview and Falcon highlights the exact part of the UI you are working on, in both the preview and the code editor.
  • Light and dark mode now have improved default text colors, so designs look correct right away.
  • You can edit a component’s props directly inside the preview without digging into files.
  • Falcon now saves those props into your project’s JSON automatically.
  • Components with multiple exports now render smoothly without breaking.
  • Falcon remembers your preferred theme every time you return.
  • All preview controls now include tooltips to explain what they do.
  • Falcon can detect your system theme automatically, and you can still switch to whatever theme you prefer.
  • You can force the preview into light or dark mode if you want a specific look.

Code Editing

  • Falcon now includes Emmet support, which lets you type short abbreviations that instantly expand into full HTML or JSX.
  • For example, if you type button Falcon automatically turns it into <button></button>. This makes writing layouts much faster and easier.
  • Brackets now auto-close as you type, which keeps your flow smooth and reduces small mistakes.

Error Handling

  • If something breaks during rendering, Falcon now shows clear and friendly error messages instead of confusing logs.
  • A new Render Error UI highlights exactly what went wrong and where, which helps you fix issues quickly.
